A Temp-Cast corner core with see-thru option located in Marlborough, NH. This fireplace was installed in a wall between an original room of the house and a new addition. The client chose a corner option because she liked the 45 degree angles and the greater overall width. The facade is a combination of soapstone and pre-cast concrete panels. The concrete panels are stuccoed with an elastomeric (flexible) stucco which will not crack due to expansion and contraction of the mass through the heat cycle. The connection to the chimney runs through the bench. The fireplace requires a 4" clearance to combustables. This was achieved by using metal studs and cement board instead of sheet rock on the wall around the fireplace. The door is a Temp-Cast arch door with chrome plated glass frame.
